Amanda LaMunyon

Amanda LaMunyon is an accomplished and award-winning American impressionist artist who started painting at the age of 7 and was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 8. Amanda has greatly been inspired by the panoramic beauty of her surroundings (Enid, Oklahoma). Amanda's favorite quote is "Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves” by James M. Barrie. She is also an autism advocate, a public speaker and a singer who has performed with Leona Mitchell for the McCarton Foundation at Carnegie Hall. Some of the honors she received are the Caring Award, the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and the Presidents Daily Points of Light and Volunteer Service Award. In 2008 she was presented with the Outstanding Individual with Autism of the Year as well as the National American Miss National Volunteer Service award. She has been featured in several books on autism and is currently attending college and hopes to get a degree in Psychology, specializing in Autism/Asperger's. Amanda is also the winner of the 2021 Autism Hall of Fame Genius Award.
