Todd Hodgetts

Todd Hodgetts (born 1988) is an Australian athlete who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. He also does weightlifting. Todd's nickname is "The Hulk". He started competing in athletics in shot put in 1998 after his brother brought home a shot put from high school. In 2004 he scored a state record at the Tasmanian Athletics Championships with one of his throws. In 2008 he became the Australian champion in the shot put after making his national debut in 2005. Many more accomplishments followed, the most remarkable being a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. in 2015 he was the Athletics Australia Male Para-athlete of the Year and the Tasmanian Athlete of the Year finalist and in 2016 he won the Victorian Institute of Sport William Angliss Personal Excellence Award.
