James Cook is an award-winning multi-media artist and poet from Ontario, Canada, which inspires a lot of his art with its beautiful landscapes. He is a naturally talented artist as well as a cartoonist, a pumpkin carver, an ice and snow sculptor, and a hand-crafter of fishing tackle. One of his paintings, Skaters at Science North, was chosen for the January page of the 2016 Picture Our Lakes calendar. As a 3D artist of ephemeral mediums, James has produced ice sculptures in Ottawa, Waterloo, Sudbury and Toronto, snow sculptures in Kirkland Lake and Sudbury, pumpkin carving displays in Sudbury and Ottawa, and sand sculptures in Gatineau QC, l'Islet QC, and River and Sky Camping and Music Festival.
