Michael Tolleson (born 1957) is an American artist with Asperger's Syndrome. He is also a savant. On his website he says "Examining my ability to paint; every stroke is instinctual since I have no training, and I rely on the use of the huge amount of stored information my Asperger's mind has observed and retained. Each painting I now create, regardless of size, is painted in less than 1 hour." Due to his ability to complete paintings in less than an hour Michael takes part in many autism events to show how his beautiful art is created and how his autistic mind works. Michael started actively painting in June 2011. He has sold his paintings in art galleries and has recently completed a series of paintings of horses and a series of paintings of women.
