Michelle Dawson (born 1961) is an autism reseatcher from Canada. She was diagnosed with autism herself as an adult in 1993-94 and became a researcher in 2003 when she joined Laurent Mottron's team in Montreal. A key statement of her work is that she says that most scientists try to determine how autistic brains are broken, but she thinks it would be more useful to try to determine how autistic brains work rather than how they are broken (source: Wikipedia). Michelle received an honorary doctorate from the Université de Montréal in June 2013. Read more about the life of this pioneering woman and her writings on her WIkipedia page.
