Steve Selpal

Steve Selpal (1950-2017) was a very gifted artist, sculptor and writer from Palm Bay, Florida (USA). His powerful artist statement was: "My perceptions of living organisms and how they function and react to environment is my lifelong fascination. I extend this to the inanimate and the non-living entities such as buildings and rocks, as they are to me organic and subjected to my own scrutiny and inclusion." (Excerpt) He was also very spiritual and created beautiful chakra art that can still be viewed on his Facebook page. He also had numerous exhibitions throughout his life. Steve was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome late in life and like many others who are diagnosed as adults he finally understood himself thanks to the diagnosis. Steve was also a writer and was published in Temple Grandin’s Different But Not Less and Craig Evans and Anita Lesko’s Been There. Done That. Try This. An Aspie’s Guide to Life on Earth.
